Stanley A. Calfee, 74, a resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 in a local hospital. He was of the Church of God faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Calfee owned and operated Stan Calfee Well Drilling for 36 years and worked with his father, Clyde Calfee Well Drilling prior to owning his own business. He was a third generation well driller. He was on the board of directors of the Tennessee Well Drillers Association (Eastern Division), where he held the position of Secretary and Treasurer during the 1960's. He was certified by the National Water Well Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Calfee, Sr. and Leatha Lewis Calfee; and brother, Clyde Calfee, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Mona Calfee; children, Melodie Calfee Arnwine and Don Calfee and wife Nikki all of Cleveland; stepdaughters: Donna Runyan and husband Gary of Cleveland, Rhonda Gravitt and husband Brett of Chattanooga and Trina Moyer and husband Scott of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren: Tanner Calfee, Brandi Munger, Courtney Arnwine, Caleb Arnwine, Bo Runyan, Aubrie Spangler, Erin Runyan, Winter Jackson, Lance Bloom and Chase Moyer; great grandchildren: Kasey, Pasiley, Adelyn, Alinslee, and Anilyne; brothers, Fred Calfee and wife Judy and Carl Calfee and wife Joyce all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Evangelist Johnny Bankston officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Military Honors. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
