Steven Lynn Smith

Steven Lynn Smith, 49, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a former employee of Charleston Hosiery and was of the Christian faith. Steven was loved by all that met him. He was preceded in death by his father, L.A. Smith; brothers: Roger Smith and Calvin Smith; maternal and paternal grandparents; sisters-in-law: Shirley Smith and Lucille Smith; nephew, Adam Smith and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Sue and Carroll "Red" Smith; sisters: Judy Newton and husband Kenny and Tammy Browder and husband Mike; brothers: Donald Smith and wife Carolyn and Gary Smith; very special friend, Randy Bacon; aunts: Ruth Brannon, Ida Mae Hitson and Geneva Durham; uncle, Harold Smith and wife Maybelle and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Rod McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery with Daniel Britt, Billy Ledford, David Ledford, Clyde Walker, Mike Browder and Robert Bagby serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
