Violet Bailey Creasman, 84, of Calhoun, TN, joined her Savior and loved ones in her Eternal home on March 12, 2013. Violet was born on May 7, 1928 in Bradley County. She resided in Calhoun, TN and was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Nettie H. Bailey; her husband, Harold Creasman; son-in-law, Dale Goforth; infant granddaughter, Terri Ann Goforth; great grandson, Easton Smith. She is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Goforth and Patti Smith and husband Eddie of Calhoun; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Brad and Katie Smith of Fairhope, Alabama and Kent and Cayci Smith of Cleveland; great-grandson, Forrest Smith of Fairhope, Alabama; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Oran Creasman officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the Calhoun Cemetery with the Reverend Barry Purser officiating. Jonathan Jones, Tommy Jones, Bill Pittman, Michael Liner, George Shamblin, Ron Creasman, Barry Creasman, J.W. Lee and Max Carroll will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
