Dora F. Lightfoot

Dora F. Lightfoot, 83, a resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Mrs. Lightfoot was a great wife and mother. She was an excellent seamstress and was retired from J. H. Kellmens where she was employed in the 1970's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lightfoot; parents, Lige and Maude York; sisters, Edna Madison, Pearl Arms and Ruby Boyer; brothers: J. D. York, Frank York, James York, Ralph York and Sammy York; and nephew, Kenny York. Survivors include her son, whom she loved dearly, Chris Lightfoot of Cleveland; special niece and caregiver, Brenda York Miller of Cleveland; nephews: Gene Madison, Gary York, Michael York, Randy Arms, Dennis York and Roger York; nieces, Dana Burgess, Sandra Benton and Debbie York; several other nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, C.A. and Carol Lightfoot; and sisters-in-law, Mary Frances York and Ann York. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Chaplain Carl Caffruy and Daron Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Cemetery with Cody Miller, Michael York, Roger York, David Benton, Jason York, Daron Miller and Larry Miller serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
