Dema F. Coleman, 78, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling, reading and working in her flower garden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar L. Coleman and Okie Shoemaker Coleman; sisters, Margaret Geren, Tommye Snyder and infant, Martha Dean Coleman; brothers, O.L. Coleman, Jr. and Bernard Coleman; and nephew, Michael Cissom. Survivors include nieces: Jimmy Cissom, Cathy Snyder Lowe, Jane Hall and Wanda Biddy all of Cleveland, Rheta Beck of Harrison, Jeanne Underwood of GA and Kay Allen of Ohio; nephews: Robby Snyder, Ray Geren, Steve Geren and Buddy Geren all of Cleveland, Terry Coleman, Randy Coleman and Gary Coleman all of Ohio; and several great-nephews and great-nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Coleby Hooker, Roger Cissom, Bobby Cissom, Ray Geren, Steve Geren and Jay Underwood serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
