Kenny D. York, 55, a lifelong resident of Bradley County went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 15, 2012. He was a member of Chestuee United Methodist Church and had been attending Samples Memorial Baptist Church. Kenny was a graduate of Bradley High School, class of 1975. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his father, Sammy York; grandparents: Alma and Abe Guinn, Lydge and Maude York; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include his mother, Ann York of Cleveland; sisters, Debbie York of Cleveland and Candi Gentry and her husband Daniel of Charleston; son, Jessie York Trippe; grandson, Gabriel Trippe; granddaughter, Maya Trippe; very special niece, Taylor Yoder; very special nephew, Jaxson Gentry; favorite cousins, Annette Green and David Guinn; mother of Jessie, Carol Trippe; and special friend and companion, Beverly Owens. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestuee Methodist Cemetery with Roger York, Daniel Gentry, Bo Lewis, Cody Green, Scotty Brock and David Guinn serving as pallbearers. David Goins will serve as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
