Lottie (Jackie) Mason Mantooth, 91, a longtime resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at a Hospice Center in Chattanooga. She was of the Christian faith. She retired from One Hour Martinizing Cleaners in Cleveland after 40+ years of service. She was a very dedicated and dependable employee. Jackie was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her only grandson, Bo up until her death. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lottie "Jackie" Mantooth was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James Luther Mantooth in 2002; her parents, William and Mattie Black Mason; she was one of nine children and was preceded in death by four sisters, Maggie Mikel, Annie Callihan, Icye McKenzie and Sue Wade; three brothers, Walter Mason, J.P. Mason and Hayden Mason. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Gary Mantooth and grandson James "Bo" Mantooth of Ooltewah; brother, William "Junior" Mason and wife Hettie of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews in this area. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with nephews: Jim Mikel, Jerry Mason and Tommy Raines and niece's husbands: Calvin Withrow, Dean Willson and Pap Bonner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
