Lucille "Lucy" Smith

Lucille "Lucy" Smith, 71, a resident of McDonald, TN passed away Monday, October 08, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Pine Hill Church of God and was employed with Prospect School for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; Enoch Lowe and Mary E. Swafford Lowe; brothers, Ray Lowe, Roy Lowe and Enoch Lowe, Jr.; sisters, Ruth Welch and Reba Roberts. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gary Smith of McDonald; children, Debbie Johnson, Justine Couch, Marty Welch, Gail Gravitt and Bobby Welch; grandchildren: Beth Bilbrey (Robert), Stacy Nelson, Connie Nelson, Jessica Leroy (Shane), Misty Byers (Damien), Josh Welch, Tosha Hicks, Robert Welch (Amber), Amanda Welch, Shannon Smith, Chad Smith, Brad Smith, Robbie Crisp (Heather) and Shontail Ellis; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters: Bessie Filyaw, Evalyn Driggans, Sandra Lowe, Susie Coffey, Linda Gee, JoAnne Salvar, Nora Farris and Dorthey Stamey; brothers Jim Gain and Roy Lowe; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor David Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery with Ricky Oliver, Billy Jackson, Danny Slaughter, Tommy King, Robert Welch, Jr. and Harold Smith serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
