June Elizabeth Reed

June Elizabeth Reed, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012, at a Nashville hospital. She was of the Episcopal faith. Ms. Reed was a member of Eastern Star. She was a retired bus driver in the Prince Georges County Maryland school system. She also worked for the FBI in the Finger Print Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Avery Reed; parents, Mary Lee and William Ralph Lowe, Sr.; son, Ralph Reed; and brothers, Dan Lowe and Bill Lowe. Survivors include three children, Delores Babb and husband, Bill of Cleveland; James B. Reed and wife, Rose Latham of Maddox, Maryland; and Tina Kurtz of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Stacey Babb of Texas; Ralph Ernst, Brett Reed, and Jessica Reed all of Maryland; and Will Kurtz of Nashville; one sister, Nancy George of Cleveland; and first cousins, Jackie Lowe, Dan Lowe, Jerry and Linda Lowe, Clifford Lowe, Peggy Lowe, Digger Lowe, Mary Lowe, and Ruby Lowe all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Lamar Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
