Edna Marie Stanfield, 89, of Cleveland, passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, June 22, 2012. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Oley Green. Her husband, Ray Stanfield and daughter, Lisa Kay Stanfield also preceded her in death, as well as her sisters, Bonnie Mayton, Retha Suits, Ruth Waters and Mary Green and brothers, Elmer Green, Jr., E. L. Green, Edward Green, Wildon Green and Paul Green. Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sue Stanfield, Terry and Susie Stanfield and Don and Virginia Stanfield; six grandchildren, Jeff Stanfield, Terri Dillard, Dawn Runyon, Jeremiah Stanfield, Joshua Stanfield and Hannah Boruff; ten great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; brother, Walter Green; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral home with Pastor Isaac Walker officiating. Interment will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family requests that memorials be made to the church or charity of your choice.
