James L. Risius, 55, of Charleston and formerly of Savannah, GA passed away Friday, June 1, 2012 in a local hospital. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the American Legion Post 81, Christian Motorcycle Association and Patriot Guard. He was retired from the US Postal Service after 33 years service and a veteran of the US Navy and US Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Risius. Survivors include his children, Priscilla (Dustin) Smith of Florida, Brittany Bartolina of Florida and Miguel Roman of Georgia; father, Lorentz Risius of Georgia; sisters, Mary (James) Reeder and Sally (Walter) Bond all of Georgia; grandchildren, Jordan Smith and Gage Smith of Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Lisa's Bar in Charleston, TN.
