Jack L. Leamon, 75, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the home of his daughter in Rising Fawn, GA. He worked at Charleston Hosiery Mill as a machinist for 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in France and was of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leamon and Eula Swafford Leamon. He was a devoted and loving father to his children, Sandy Derryberry of Rising Fawn, GA, C.S.M. David Leamon and wife Haevenly of Ft. Bragg, NC, Jim Leamon and wife Kathy of Boca Raton, FL and Mark Leamon of Signal Mtn. TN; grandchildren, Thomas Leamon of the United States Army, Afghanistan, Martin Leamon of Knoxville, and Lauren and Joseph Derryberry of Rising Fawn, GA. He is also survived by his sweetheart of 30 years, Dean Suits of Cleveland. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Gene Straus officiating. Interment will follow in Swafford Cemetery in McMinn County with military honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
