Mary Jo Hampton

Mary Jo Hampton, 75, passed away on May 11, 2012 at her home in Cleveland, Tennessee. Mary was born March 2, 1937 in Knoxville, TN to the late Lela Mae (Gideon) Crisp and Lestel Edwin Crisp. Mary graduated from Young High School in Knoxville, TN in 1955 and was a member of the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for more than 47 years. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Frank Hampton, Jr.; daughter, Sharon Kay Gore and brother, Neil Edwin Crisp. She is survived by her son, Robert Anderson and his wife Angie; sister, Bonnie Thomas of Knoxville; 6 grandchildren, Greg Gore, Jodie Gore Ihfe, Johnny Gore, Jillian Walker, Jennifer Anderson Crisp and Stephanie Anderson; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Springplace Road, Cleveland, TN with Elder Rockne Winner and Elder Jeremiah Tant officiating. A Committal service will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Fike Funeral Home.
