Jerry Wayne Partin

October 23, 1937 — April 15, 2012

Jerry Wayne Partin, 74, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mr. Partin was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Partin was a member of the American Legion Post 81, the Fleet Reserve Association and he was retired from Cleveland Bank and Trust. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Partin and Hannah Orick Partin; brothers, Willard Partin, William "Bo" Partin and Willie Partin; sisters, Bessie Parker and Betty Sue Ball. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ella J. Partin of Cleveland; daughter, Leigh Ann Boyd and her husband Bill of Cleveland; sister, Lois Benson of California and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Asble officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Jellico Cemetery in Jellico, TN with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family has requested that memorials be made to: Southeast Tenn.
