Martha Elizabeth Garrett

Martha Elizabeth Garrett, 74, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens and was a former employee of Mayes Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Honey; brothers, Doyle Honey and Ralph Pierce. Survivors include her children, Johnny Garrett, Evonne Garrett and Sabina Ledford, Billy Garrett, Betty Sprague and James Garrett all of Cleveland and Vera Craig of Old Fort; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, William "Pedro" Honey of Benton; several nieces and nephews and extended family, Artis Mullinax, Rhonda Combs and Rita Lee. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 in Fort Hill Cemetery with Brother Charles Moore officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 12:00-1:45 p.m. Monday at Fike Funeral Home.
