Katherine E. Townzen

Katherine E. Townzen, 66, a resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. Mrs. Townzen was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Duncan and Sarah Ida Sims Duncan; sister, Shirley Caywood and son, Billy L. Yates. Survivors include her children, Donna R. Harris, Danny L. Yates and Katherine M. Adams all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Crystal Coppings and Michael Yates; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Barnes of Harrison; brothers, Edward L. Duncan, Jr., of Cleveland, Carl Holder, James Holder and Roy Holder all of Birchwood and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Sammy Hughes and the Reverend Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Williamson Cemetery in Hamilton County. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the funeral home prior to the service.
