Iva Orr Franks

Iva Orr Franks, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery work and traveling. She was retired from Central Service after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Isaac J. Freeman and Myrtle Freeman; 1st husband, Roy L. Orr; brothers, Ira Freeman, J. D. Freeman, Roy Lee Freeman and Glean Freeman; sisters, Lucille Saunders and Mary Barnes. She is survived by her husband, R. M. Franks of Cleveland; children, Vivian Orr Rapier and husband, Steve of Cleveland, Charles Orr and wife, Evonne of Cleveland, David A. Orr of Cleveland, and Cullas E. Orr and wife, Angela of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; step children, Judy Wilkinson, Linda Alford, Betty Womble, Nita Hixson, Patricia Ogles, and Marjorie Singleton;; sister, Chloey Floyd of Benton, 11 step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren and 2 step great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor A.C. Cooper and Pastor Richard McKeehan officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
