William T. "Bill" McClure, Sr.

William T. "Bill" McClure, Sr., 82, a resident of Charleston passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012. He was of the Christian faith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was retired from Duracell Corporation. Mr. McClure will be missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy McClure of Charleston and father, Lee McClure of Hiwassee, GA; and his beloved daughter, Kim Presley of Cleveland. Survivors include his brother, Joe McClure of Cleveland; son, Billy McClure; daughter, Susan Buttrey; granddaughter, Melissa Presley; grandson, B.J. Buttrey; and Bill's former wife, Mary McClure. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2012 in the chapel of Fike Funeral home with the Reverend Mitch McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the Calhoun Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the funeral home.
