Rita Louise Norwood

Rita Norwood, 69, loving wife and mother, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at a Chattanooga hospital. She was a resident of Murphy, N.C., but lived in Bradley County most of her life. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Wolf Creek, NC. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a retired L.P.N. from Bradley Memorial Hospital, Life Care of Cleveland, Bradley Healthcare & Rehab and Royal Care. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles G. Helton and brother, Douglas Helton. She is survived by her husband, Carl Norwood of Murphy, NC mother, Eula Mae Helton of Canton, GA son Chris Norwood and wife Coral of Cleveland; grandchild Calliope Norwood. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janet Helton of Canton, GA and nephew, Scott Helton. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Hill Cemetery with Pastor Fred Crumbley officiating.
