Helen A. Jones

Helen A. Jones, 89, a resident of Martin Boyd Christian Home in Chattanooga for the past 3 years and former lifetime resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a lifelong member of Eastside church of Christ. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, Class of 1941 and was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service. She was very active in the Telephone Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Chester Jones; parents, Goodwin and Beatrice Aaron; three brothers, Troy Aaron, Don Aaron and Charles Aaron. She is survived by her sister, Joanne Aaron Trewhitt of Hixson; nieces, Melanie Schonhoff of Chattanooga, Avan Burroughs of Chattanooga, Donna Aaron of McDonald and Jeanmarie Polly of Delaware.; nephews: William Aaron of McDonald, Steve Aaron of Lenoir City, David Aaron of Lenoir City, Charles Aaron of Frederick, Maryland, Donald Aaron of Brentwood and Doug Aaron of Manchester. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December 20, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Minister David Schonhoff and Minister Jeff Archey officiating. Entombment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Michael Burroughs, Alex Burroughs, Donald Aaron, Doug Aaron, Charles Aaron, Jason Crowe, Nathan Bowman, Steve Aaron, David Aaron and William Aaron serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Eastside church of Christ, P.O.
