In the early hours of Sunday, December 11, 2011, Douglas McSpadden, 48, of Cleveland passed away at a Nashville hospital after sustaining injuries in an accident the night before. He is now with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and his daddy whom he missed dearly. Doug will forever be missed by his family that loved him so very much, especially the "pride and joy" of his life, his children. He was a loving father that found his greatest accomplishment in life was having his three children. He was incredibly proud of them. He was an accomplished auto body repair technician and enjoyed restoring cars. He exuded with personality; his comedic and fun-loving nature made it impossible not to like him. There will forever be a huge hole in the family that will only be filled when we meet again. He is preceded in death by his father, George (Doug) McSpadden; grandparents, Luther and Esther Miller and Harrison and Evelyn McSpadden. Survivors include his precious mother, Ina (Miller) McSpadden; daughters, Kristy Urban (Justin) and Amanda McSpadden; son, Kevin McSpadden (Jamie); sisters, Donna Burns (Jimmy), Deanna Brookshire (Roger), Debbie Selby (Ted); brother, Daniel McSpadden (Donna); nephews, Corey and Conner Brookshire, Blake McSpadden and Dillon Selby; niece, Jordan Selby and special aunt, Lottie Miller. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend David Beatty, the Reverend Jimmy Burns and Jason Ollis officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery (McDonald community) with Kevin McSpadden, Justin Urban, Daniel McSpadden, Ted Selby, Roger Brookshire, Corey Brookshire and Blake McSpadden serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
