Helen Marie Petersen

Helen Marie Petersen, 94, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Charleston passed away Friday, December 09, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was of the Christian faith. She belonged to various bridge clubs and was a former golfer. She was a devout animal lover and was well known for her enthusiastic personality. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Petersen who passed away March 11, 1979. Survivors include her daughter, Zona Parham of Cleveland; grandson, Blake (Sherri) Parham of Cleveland; 2 great grandchildren, Brittany (Mark) Works of Cleveland and Alexis Parham of Cleveland; 1 great-great grandchild, Mckenna Works of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Works officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
