Kenneth Luther Reams, Sr.

Kenneth Luther Reams, Sr., 94, a resident of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Life Care's Garden Plaza Apartments. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church and was a much beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was retired from DuPont in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Lee Reams Jones and his son-in-law, Dr. Frank Robert Jones, Jr.; parents William Luther Reames, Jr. and Lilly Ellen Hall Reames and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife of over 75 years, Lorene Lee Whitaker Reams; son, Kenneth L. Reams, Jr. and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Burley Christian Price, Jr. and wife Pattie, Kenneth L. "Chip" Ream, III and wife, Valda; great-grandchildren, Rebekah Loraine Reams, Carolyn Victoria Reams, Melinda Elizabeth Reams and Susan Matilda Reams. He is also survived by his sisters, Anna Reames Hall and Agnes Reames Westermann and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Jamison Work officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, VA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.
