Bonnie Smith

Bonnie M. Smith, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, in a local hospital. She was member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star and a great cook. She was ready to help anyone in need and loved the Lord and enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Dovie Hill Wicks, husband, Charles Edward Smith and brother, killed in action in World War II, Roy Wicks, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Charles "Dave" Smith and Chris Smith of Cleveland; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011, at Mount Carmel Baptist church with the Reverend Reed Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fike Funeral Home.
