Betty Cecil Kelley

Betty Cecil Kelley, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church where she served in various children's ministries for 40 years including Sunday School, Bible Drill and AWANA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pledger and Elizabeth Bennett Cecil and son, Marvin Kelley. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Kelley of Cleveland; daughter, Angela Irby and husband, A. J. of Sachse, TX; six grandchildren, Summer Bayne and husband, Tim of Cleveland, Meliessa Kelley of the U.S. Navy, Heather Gallaher and husband, Brett of Cleveland, Elizabeth, Alison and Kimberly Irby of Sachse, TX; six great-grandchildren, Austin, Emma, and Kaylee Bayne and Ethan, Seth, and Eli Gallaher; two sisters, Barbara Hackney of Cleveland, and Helen Wilcox of Milton, FL and brother, Carl Soward, Jr. of Cleveland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will be Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kelley Family Cemetery with A.J. Irby, Brett Gallaher, Tim Bayne, Ken Johnson, Michael Hackney and Michael Partlow will serve as pallbearers. Austin Bayne will serve as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
