Billye Faye Pirkle

Billye Faye Roberts Pirkle, 69, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 201l, with her loving husband by her side. She was born and lived in Riceville until her late teens when she moved to Cleveland. Mrs. Pirkle worked for a good friend, Jimmy Logan, Sr., who was the Register of Deeds in the 1980's. She also worked for Burlington Mills and for many years in retail at Stuart Park Grocery, Medical Center Pharmacy, Ken Harris Pharmacy and Wood's Jewelers. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie Gilbert Roberts and Stella Lee Colloms Roberts and brother, Gary Roberts. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Doug Pirkle of Cleveland; two children, Toye Johnson and husband, Guy of Old Fort and Robin Hamilton and husband, Craig of Cleveland; granddaughters, Carrie Brooke Johnson and Emily Faye Johnson of Old Fort, twin granddaughters, Katherine Faye Hamilton and Kristen Alyse Hamilton of Cleveland; sisters, Rebecca Wells and husband, Phillip of Jonesboro, AK and Barbara Crox and husband, Walter of Cleveland; brothers, Gilbert Roberts and wife, Pearl of Calhoun, Gordon Roberts and wife, Judy of Columbia, and Glen Roberts and wife, Norma of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Gilbert Roberts officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Zane B. Harris, Sr., Beebo Harris, Alvin Dixon, Jr., Ben (Mac) Crox, Guy Johnson and Craig Hamilton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
