Juanita Gee Mulford, 87, a resident of Tequesta, FL passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL. She was born January 5, 1924 in Cleveland, TN to the late John Gee and Martha Williams Gee. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, class of 1942; attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and also attended Hunter College. During her career with the Foreign Service, she was employed with the American Embassies in Japan (1952-1954), Cyprus (1955-1957), France (1958-1960) and Spain (1961); she later retired from Texaco Corporation in New York. Mrs. Mulford enjoyed playing bridge, reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry Mulford; sisters: Essie Arp, Elsie Sperlich, Callie Dye, Mae Haun and brother, Henry Gee. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 01, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Friendship Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
