James R. "Jim" Liner, 64, a resident of Calhoun passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 in an Athens hospital. He was a member of Graysville Baptist Church. He retired from Mohawk Carpet where he was employed as an electrician for over 19 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Ray Liner and Betty Jo Colloms Liner and granddaughter, Candace Nicole Corley. Survivors include his wife, Faye Barker Liner of Calhoun; children: Betty J. Corley (Paul) of Florida, Ronnie Liner of Georgia, Debbie Liner of Calhoun, Becky J. Brown (Ricky) of Cleveland and John A. Liner of Nashville; brothers, Phil Liner (Della) of Charleston and Kenny Liner of Cleveland; grandchildren, Kerri E. Corley of FL, Sheena Brown of Cleveland and several grandsons, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Denny Manning and Reverend Ray Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with David Crittenden, Roger Crittenden, Butch Maddox, Randy Maddox, Eddie Hamby and David Colloms serving as pallbearers. Mike Crittenden will serve as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
