Ralph Clark, 84, of Charleston, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church for over 70 years. His hobby was farming and he really enjoyed making his garden and working his land. Mr. Clark retired from Bowater Paper Mill after 15 years of service. He also served in WWII as a U.S. Army MP. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Earnest Clark; parents, George and Pauline Hooper Clark and his brother Celotes Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Bernice Miller and husband, Gale of Charleston; grandchildren, Anthony and Julie Miller and children, Morgan, Gareth and Gwyneth Miller of Charleston, Neil and Stacey Miller and children, Parker and Payton of White House, TN; brothers, Morris Clark of Charleston and Doyle Clark of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Jamie Work officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Candies Creek Baptist Church, 294 Old Eureka Rd. NW, Charleston, TN or First Baptist Church of Cleveland Manna Ministry, P.O. Box 2368 Cleveland, TN 37320. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
