Reba J. Parrish

Reba J. Parrish, 80, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church and was formally a long time member of Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was graduated from Bosse High in Evansville and Indiana Academy, Cicero, Indiana in 1947. She also attended Andrews University, in Berrien Springs, MI. She retired from John Hancock Insurance in 1966. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Bessie Blume. She is survived by her husband, Craig S. Parrish of Cleveland; daughters, Jana Luellen and husband, Jason of Hendersonville, Jennifer Coble and husband, Hal of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Coble Birmele and husband, Bryan, Emily Parker Luellen, Zachary Coble and Anderson Luellen; great-grand children, Anakin and Ysabelle Birmele; brother, Jack Blume of Dalzell, Illinois and sister, Betty Ann Lawson of Anderson, Indiana. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in the Chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Cunningham officiating. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Hal Coble, Jason Luellen, Zachary Coble, Bryan Birmele, Doug Veazey, John T. Veazey and Eddie Neal serving as pallbearers. Gene Veazey will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 17, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
