Gordon D. Nunley, 91, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a very loyal church member until declining health prevented his attending. He loved gospel music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar in church. He always treated everyone in a kind and gentle manner. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Edie Nunley; parents, William Edward and Lettie Nunley. Survivors include his children, Allen Nunley and wife Janice of Cleveland and Brenda Kniep of Arizona; grandchildren: Kim Taylor of Maryland, Mike Nunley of Cleveland, Greg Turner and Sherry Turner of Arizona. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Huel Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
