Maxine H. Taylor

Maxine H. Taylor, 83, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at a local hospital. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fate Taylor and parents, Kenley Eller and Ethel Webb Edwards. She is survived by her children, Sam Taylor, Terry Taylor and wife, Pat, Debbie Hughes and husband, Dewight, Vicki Thurman and husband, Robert and Lisa McCoy and husband, Donald, all of Cleveland; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, June Suits of Cleveland; brothers, Billy Edwards of Cleveland and Forest "Jr." Edwards of Alabama; and special friend, Barbara Taylor. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend James Sears and Robbie Thurman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Robbie Thurman, John Taylor, Nathan Hughes, Mike Bentley, Cody Bentley and Blake Fowler serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
