Jerry "Moondog" Roberts Jerry Wayne "Moondog" Roberts, 51, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in a local hospital. He was owner/operator of R & B Towing and Auto Service for 30 years. He enjoyed boating and working on cars. He loved his children and enjoyed spending time in the mountains with his family. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bernice Roberts; brother, Michael Roberts; and sister, Sharon Feagans. He is survived by his longtime companion and girlfriend, Darlene Hodgins; children: Joshua Roberts, Michael Hawkins, Ashley Pilkington, Brittney Evans, Devon Hodgins, Brooke Hodgins, Jacob Roberts and Jadyn Hodgins; sisters, Martha Edwards, Evonne Harper and Louella Roberts; brothers, Donald Roberts, Daniel Roberts and Timmy Roberts; three grandchildren; uncle, William Ledford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Ken Purdy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
