Clifton "Cliff" E. Morrow, 70, of McDonald, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his residence. He was retired as a professional horse trainer and was owner/operator of Morrow Quarter Horses for 42 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Muncie Lee Morrow; sisters, Allie Bess Earby, Mae Haney, Kay Goodner, Edith Gibson, Stella Marie Morrow and Millie Collins; and brother, R. L. Morrow. He is survived by his sisters, Mattie Lou Cartwright and husband, Elmer, Betty Morrow, Joyce Dantzler, Hazel Hughes and Jean McDonald and husband, Charles; brothers, John Morrow and wife, Mary and Haskel Morrow and wife, Betty; nephews, Ralph Earby and wife, Connie, Terry Lee Morrow and wife, Zona and Dewayne Morrow and wife, Debbie; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Jay McCluskey and the Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. Graveside services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. Brandon McDonald, Dean Earby, DeWayne Morrow, David Morrow, Tyler Morrow, Terry Lynn Morrow, Chris Morrow and Alan Colloms will serve as pallbearers. Gary Stafford, Mike Burrell, George Wyatt, David Ellis, Gary Abar, Dr. Jerry Bancroft, Lee Bancroft and all his AQHA friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
