Tommie Elkins

Tommie Elkins, 94, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at her residence. She retired from Singer Sewing Machine Company where she was a salesperson and seamstress. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Elkins; son, Lawrence N. Elkins; grandson, David Lawrence Ramsey; and her parents, John H. and Dorothy C. Boyd. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Carol Ramsey of Cleveland; grandchildren Don Ramsey and wife, Sarah of Knoxville and Pam Ramsey of Cleveland; great granddaughter, Samantha Michelle Ramsey; and sister, Lillian Poteet of Cleveland. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Ted Gobble officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
