Juanita Smith Humphrey, 89, of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Hope Hospice House in Fort Myers, Florida. She was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Juanita spent most of her life in Cleveland; her passion was to love and nurture her family and friends. She was the daughter of the late William Port Smith and Juna Simpson Smith; also preceding her in death was her husband of 58 years, Floyd G. Humphrey; three brothers, Hoyt Smith, George Smith and Houston Smith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Freida and Stuart Miller; granddaughters, Catherine Miller and Anne Miller Holmes and her husband Matthew; great granddaughter, Riley Anne Holmes; sisters, Betty Bigham and Shelby Massingale and her husband David; sister-in-law, Dot Eslinger and her husband Dennis; brother-in-law, Paul Humphrey and wife Linda; many special nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery in Riceville, TN (Claxton Community) with the Reverend Marshall Roberson officiating. Stephen Smith, Matthew Holmes, Stuart Miller, David Massingale, Richard Burnette and Lindsay Hathcock will serve as pallbearers.
