Ruth Longwith

Ruth Snyder Longwith, 97, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at a local healthcare facility. She was a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Longwith, along with her husband Claude Longwith, owned and operated a motel in North Carolina for many years. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Creta Snyder; husband, Claude Longwith; and daughter, Judy Longwith Healy. She is survived by her granddaughters, Karen Healy Benway and her husband Aaron of Arlington, VA and Elaine Healy Beeman and her husband Peter of Oakton, VA; son-in-law, John Henry Healy, Palm Coast, FL; three great granddaughters and one great grandson. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
