Elizabeth Lucille Pippenger, 80, a lifelong resident of Bradley County passed away Thursday, August 23, 2010 in a local healthcare facility surrounded by her loving family. She was a faithful member of Union Grove Church of Christ for 42 years. She taught Sunday school and Bible School for several years. She was preceded in death by her father, John Reno Smith and mother, Ruby Tinsley Smith. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Pippenger; children, Terry Pippenger and Kenneth Pippenger; granddaughter, Danica; and great grandson, Jackson. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Ministers Ted Gobble and Steve Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with David Triplett, Ronnie Flowers, Tracy Sneed, Eugene McCracken, Mark Stephenson and Clyde Brewer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Cartwright, Troy Richmond, Bill Flowers, James Kyle, Greg Davis and Jim Randolph. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
