James David Kilby

James David Kilby, 59, resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at the family residence. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mr. Kilby was employed in the research and development department of Olin/ Arch Chemical Corporation for 35 years. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Kilby. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Beverly Curtis Kilby of Cleveland; daughters, Julie Laman and husband Jud of Collegedale and Sheri Edgeworth and husband Josh of Cleveland; grandchildren, Garek Laman and James Edgeworth; mother, Gloria Jean Kilby of Athens; sister, Mary Jane Purkey and husband David; brothers, Mickey Kilby and Kent Kilby. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Fike Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
