Mildred Leona Beaty, 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at her residence. She was a member of Maple Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Beaty was an expert quilter and accomplished in crocheting, tatting and embroidery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd H. Miller and Alice L. Faw Miller; husband, Warner Beaty and sister, Elizabeth Kimsey. Survivors include three sisters: Betty Lee, Nancy Miller, Billie Lawson and her husband Blaine "Peanut" Lawson all of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Charles Kimsey of Dalton, GA; nieces, Alice Kimsey, Becky Calhoun and her husband Lewis and Lori Lawson; nephew, Stan Kimsey and wife, Virna; great nephew, Greyson Kimsey. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jim Phillips, Gary Gunter, Richy Blair, Franklin Taylor, Eddie Beaty and Gary Beaty serving as pallbearers. Bobby Kessler, Jimmy Morgan, Randy Cooley, Tennis Reagan, Danny Casteel, Ronnie Miller and Terry Beaty will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
