Joe E. Queen, 96, of Cleveland, died June 30, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Queen was sixth in birth order of eleven children in his family. He was a well known transmission specialist for forty-six years at Hall Chevrolet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred T. and Vira Rymer Queen; wife, Louise Hughes Queen; brothers: D.A. Queen, Ruiel Queen and Hoyt Queen; sisters: Velmar Queen,Mabel Bailey, Anna Mae Mullinax and Helen Jones. Survivors include his brother, Paul Queen of Cleveland; sisters: Stella Evans of Hodgkin, IL and Othella Trimm of Tucker, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Fort Hill Cemetery with Pastor Guinn Green and Pastor Bill Beaty officiating. C.L. Cartwright, Chris Beck, Todd Beck Jackie Baxter, R.L. Queen and Charles Moses will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at the funeral home.
