Mary Keown Ervin, 87, a long time resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She was employed by Charleston Hosiery Mill as payroll supervisor for forty-six years. Mary took pride in her appearance and her beautiful clothes. She enjoyed traveling and lived a long and happy life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Ed" Ervin; her parents, Clarence and Myrtle Keown Gagnon; brothers: Frank Keown and Clarence Baker. Survivors include her sister, Elsie Key of Ringgold, GA; friends: Gary and Karen Lynn, Bobby and Thelma Moore, Mary Roberts, Jo Ann Forrest and Dolores Watson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
