Ressie Hancock

Ressie Hancock, 94, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010. She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was employed by the Bradley County School Board as an elementary teacher and loved working with children. She served her Lord by teaching in the school and at church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Hancock, in 1970. Her parents, William D. and Ellen Arthur Goins, preceded her in death as well. She is survived by one son, Dr. Tony A. Hancock and wife Rhonda of Lexington, KY; one granddaughter, Dr. Karen Hancock of Summerville, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at North Cleveland Baptist Church with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at the church. Her family requests that memorials be made to North Cleveland Baptist Church, 2815 N.
