Katherine G. Mackey

Katherine McIntire Mackey, a resident of Cleveland, died May 2, 2010 in a local hospital. Katherine was a gifted interior designer but she will be remembered as owner/operator of the Cheese Cupboard. She later moved her family to Edgewater Florida where she managed a historical hotel in the 1980's. She returned to Cleveland in 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rueben Mackey; mother, Anna Harmon McIntire; father, William McIntire and brother, Robert F "Bill" McIntire, all were from Cleveland; niece, Ellen Fisher Raines; brother-in-law, James Fisher, both were from Athens TN and niece, Peggy Sahlberg Brown of Chattanooga. Survivors include son, Gary Chisholm of Cleveland; sister, Margaret Fisher; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Laura McIntire & John Sahlberg and niece, Bunny Fisher Browder all from Athens; niece, LeAnne McIntire Smiley; nephew, Bob McIntire; sister-in-law, Shirley McIntire and special friend Bob Kidd all from Cleveland.
