Frank Hicks Dyer 84, a resident of Garden Plaza and formerly of Sweetwater, TN passed away Thursday April 29, 2010. He was retired from Bowater after 34 years of service. Frank was a member of the first United Methodist Church of Sweetwater, the American Legion and The VFW. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a lifelong Tennessee Vol fan and his favorite greeting was "Go Big Orange!" He was preceded in death by his parents Frank H Dyer Sr and Emma Miles Dyer. Survivors include his sister Jane Dyer Sullivan Sain and husband Bob. Nieces: Emma Jane Haile and husband John of Cleveland, Martha Foster and husband Lynn of Clinton, TN and nephew Julian Sullivan and wife Hilda, also of Cleveland. Several great nieces and nephews also survive along will many special friends and care givers at Garden Plaza of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at the Broad Street United Methodist Church at 4:00 pm, Sunday, May 2. His family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 - 4:00 at the church.
