Ola Mae Broomfield Gatlin Brown, 93, a resident of Cleveland passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in a local hospital. Mrs. Brown was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church. She retired from Charleston Hosiery Mill. She was the daughter of the late James Andrew Broomfield and Ella Randolph Broomfield, born May 12, 1916. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie Elbert Gatlin and second husband, James Archie Brown; son, Robert Gatlin; brothers: J.L., Walter and Howard Broomfield; sisters: Essie Boring, Mary Lou Roberson and Marie Moore; great grandson, Clark Gatlin. Survivors include her sons, Jim Gatlin and wife Ann and Wayne Gatlin all of Cleveland; sister, Icye Seagraves; sister-in-law, Geneva Broomfield; grandchildren: Steve Gatlin, Melissa Sharp and David Gatlin all of Cleveland, Karen Gatlin of Chattanooga, Jimiann, Kellye and Mark Gatlin of Louisville, Kentucky; great grandchildren, Abigail Gatlin and Brandon Sharp; many nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Ruth Draughon. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Richard McKeehan and Reverend Danny Wilson officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday April 12, 2010 at the funeral home prior to the service.
