Gary R. Green, 58, of Georgetown passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a native of Copperhill but had resided in Bradley County for the past 40 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Green was employed with Eaton Corporation as quality assurance technician for 32 years. He enjoyed traveling, antique cars and wood working. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Green and Delores Dillard Green. Survivors include his wife, Judy Green of Georgetown; sister, June Towery and husband Glenn of Copperhill; special friends: Steve and Dinah Ellis of Cleveland, Mike and Connie Woods of Cleveland and Brenda Reynolds of Benton; one niece and two nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Homer Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mike Woods, Zack Woods, Steve Ellis, Ray Harris, Joey Norton and Tommy Caywood serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
