Hilda Lucile Strickland

Hilda Jackson Strickland, 87, passed away in Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN on Saturday, February 20, 2010. She was a member of the Seventh-day Wilderness Church in Spring City, TN. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Homer Jackson and Bessie Slocumb Jackson and by her husbands, John Strickland and Bill Kerbs. Survivors include her sons and their spouses; Jack Strickland and Barbara of Dunlap, TN, Mike Strickland and Connie of McDonald, TN and her daughters and their spouses; Joni Strickland Bosworth and Dave of Round Rock, TX and Nancy Strickland Baker and James of Cleveland, TN. She is also survived by her three stepsons and their wives; Fred Kerbs and Betty of Sonoma,CA., Lloyd Kerbs and Betty of Dayton, TN and Floyd Kerbs of Sodus, MI. She has sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Mellor officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
