Virginia Louise Davis, 89, a resident of Cleveland passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at her home. She was a member of the Cohulla Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was owner and operator of the "Chocolate Pot" in the Cleveland Mall for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Whitehead and Ida Pankey Whitehead and her husband, O.D. Davis. Survivors include her sons, Gary Davis of Cleveland and Richard Davis and wife Patricia of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Neil Davis, Keith Davis and Tracy Davis, all of Atlanta, Sharon Silvers of Old Fort and Linda Davis of Nashville; 8 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; special niece, Billie Roden of Cleveland and several other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Reverend Danny Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
