Timothy S. Smith

Timothy Starr Smith, 47, a resident of Cleveland passed from this earth Saturday, December 26, 2009. Tim was born on May 6, 1962 in Pasadena, Texas; however he lived the majority of his life as a resident of Bradley County where he attended Bradley Central High School. He was employed by Lowe's corporation as a contract salesman before his successful early retirement. As a youth Tim enjoyed playing baseball where he excelled on the field with several all-star teams during the seventies. As an adult Tim enjoyed Bradley football, the UT Volunteers, the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. During the racing season you could always find Tim at home or at a track with his friends enjoying the races each and every Sunday while rooting for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt before his death. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents; Mrs. Nellie Sue Starr Smith and Mr. George L. "Jack" Smith. Tim is survived by his brother, Mr. George L. "Rip" Smith, Jr. of Nashville, and sister, Mrs. Jacqueline Sue Henegar of Ringgold, Georgia; two nieces, Ms. Kari Susanne Collins of Cleveland and Mrs. Kimberly Shawn Collins Copeland of Cleveland and nephew, Mr. William Matthew Collins of Ringgold, Georgia and their respective families. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Evans officiating.
